1978 Ford Cortina Mk IV 1.6L
I ran this company car from 1978-1980. Although it was
only L spec it had all the extras i.e. Wide sports wheels and tyres,
Roman
Bronze metallic paint, sun roof, head rests, radio, overiders,
spotlights,
mud flaps, mirror etc. (the standard car came with
nothing!)
I really liked this motor - it was quite fast and the wide tyres held
the
road well, it was comfortable and quiet on long journeys. For
some
reason it was brilliant on snow and could get out of anything the
Scottish
weather threw at it when other vehicles in our fleet were totally stuck.
